If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.įor the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. Then each one will receive his commendation from God. For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
